Non-Profit Web Site
Client Overview
Richland Sertoma Club is one of the oldest civic clubs in Columbia, South Carolina, with strong history in fundraising and community work benefiting mainly children.
The Challenge
- The club did not have a website and needed one to: (1) recruit new members, (2) promote fundraising events, (3) showcase accomplishments, and (4) communicate member information such as club events, newsletter, roster, and photos.
- Richland Sertoma Club also had a few specific requirements for their website:
- The website needed to be linked in from the International Sertoma Web site.
- The website had to exhibit friendly kids faces on all its pages.
- The website had to be simple in design and easy to navigate.
The Solution
- We designed a friendly and inviting website that welcomes members and prospects with pictures and information.
- The website readily displays essential information on its front page, it then has easy to navigate pages that include information on fundraising events, community awards and club joining procedure. The website has a site map so it is easy to locate any pages within the site.
- Members can access an online calendar to check current events, and request an email reminder of events of interest.
- We created a blog for the club so they can post the monthly president letter and any other announcements. Blog postings are archived for future review.
- The website also links to a photo gallery where members can share pictures of events or special occasions.
The Results
By having a Web site and linking from the International Sertoma Website prospects are able to visit the Richland Sertoma Web site and learn about the club and potentially become members. Members are able to view club events, roster, and news online 24/7. Also, community members who might benefit from the clubs fundraising efforts are able to learn about the club and their various programs.
